Here I am again. Had another call from that crazy Welshman asking if my secretary could assist once more. Advised him that she was in the middle of some dictation but as soon as her throat was clear I was sure she could help.........

For me, the only thing in common with the new main courses served up this week was that I did not see any of them live. But I risked my one good eye the following day to bring you these carefully chosen words which I am sure you expected.

I will try to be brief.

True to form, 'Dream Screens' turned out to be another rehash fron the tales of Bocaccio. However the intro with the various thespians was nice and it was equally nice to see Lolita again.

All my hopes of a tidy 'SMShow' (seems that even the use of lettering is being cut back on) was shattered the minute Ms Vicky bounced on to the screen to announce the show. This concept had been building up nicely and the previous day show was quite good. Unfortunately it did not seem to work this time.

'Bohemian Night'. I am still tring to work this one out. Bohemia - a area of the modern Czech Republic - nothing obvious to do with that. Bohemian - a lifestyle favoured by artists not caring for wealth or other material values. Promiscurity was the only tenious link. So again, not really in the right ballpark. So I wonder what went through the nind of our new casting manager/director (Randa) for this concept. And who was that old guy in the corner of the pic ?. For me, the soft furnishings, alcohol and fruit told a different tale. This was more Greco/Roman - Bachanallian - especially the way that Zita chose to serve up the grapes. Certailnly not Bohemian.

The 'Barbie Show' was cancelled. Sniff. Oh what wonders we could have had there. One wonders if those nice people from Mattel got wind of this and deemed that use of their brand name was not appropiate. One equally wonders what those nice people from Mattel would have been doing watching this in the first place.

'Picture-in-Picture'. This one totally threw me as I expecting something else. As it turned out, it was for me the best concept of them all. As I relay this, I am surprised that no video has been forthcoming of Malena's big scene. Unfortunately, my eyes are not up to producing anything at this time so I hope that someone can fill in. It deserves its place in the archive. And to Malena my greatest congratulations for that. You may now go back to your covered/teasing way but you clearly showed that your exposure is in your hands. Its not what anyone else thinks. It is your own personal choice.
