Running out of ideas

A wise colleague of mine from this forum asked me a few days ago what I did for a living. He thought with all the wit and wisdom that comes from these little missives I must be a writer of some sorts. Yet he was quite impressed with the reality.

But any writer has a problem. Especially one that has to fnd something original to say each week. You can very quickly run out of ideas.

ETV does not need script writers. Each show is created in real time. Just sometimes there is a theme to hopefully encourage that errant caller. But when there is a theme there is a temptation to overplay it. The good example of this was the card game which went on and on and on. Maybe the game went on because the call was not there. Yet equally the call was not there because the game went on. Indeed a vicious circle.

So while ETV does not need script writers - the callers/SMS senders should fulfill that role, it does need ideas. It needs ideas to build that bridge between the show and the caller. A week or so ago I commented on a rather poor choice of casting for what should be the prime show of the week - Saturday night. Yet maybe it is just a coincidence that the cast for the show as I write this piece is probably, to a fair degree, the best that they can put on from the current rota.

So having got that message across, how about persuing another one.

A long time ago I wrote very similar words to these "Give a girl a couch and she will sit down. Give a girl a bed and she will lay down" What I was saying is that too much furnishings encourage laziness. Callers simply see girls sitting down - the bed is also used as a couch - then there is less encouragement to call. But if the girls are moving, if they are relating to one another, then there is more encouragement.

This week has been a roller coaster of emotions. I was beginning to think that the studio was haunted. Haunted by people who had left their service but their work had so influenced those that took their place that they had to continue to do their ‘fine’ work

So we saw all those crazy camera effects.
We saw multiple images on screen at the same time.
We saw dances in virtual darkness
And if we were really lucky we got the full set all at the same time.

Just remember this when you consider your next 'idea'. These did not work first time round. They will not work second time either. Maybe that message has already got through as these 'ideas' seem to have already gone. But if I am wrong on this one you will be reminded. That I do promise you.

This writer will. hopefully, have some fresh ideas to encourage, educate and entertain in the future. Let us all hope that you can do likewise.
 

If you were watching the afternoon show at approx 21:10 you will have heard a message from Zita inviting "David" to send in script for an eUrotic show.

Well "David" has now responded to the challenge. Let's see if they are up for it.

Vicki should stay behind the camera and should not always talk in her bad german to the viewers.

Today i mentioned that someone wants a strip from carmen but the camera only showed Zita and Sabrina.

Hi, is this called now Zita and Sabrina or Sabrina and Nikita Show or what??

The other girls today in a good mood and wants to show something to esspecially Donna and Aria. And Donna is in her second shift and don´t seems tired like other girl do.

If Sabrina or Nikita wants to work alone they should go to ETV 2 but when they are staying there, they are boring like every other model.

Okay, that is all i wanna say. Sorry, that i called some names but it easier for me to write about models.

I once saw a horrible movie called “Les Patterson saves the world”. There was only one good joke in it: Sir Les kicked one of his opponents in the backside. On putting down his foot, you could hear a sucking sound and one of his boots was missing …
I was considering doing something similar with the local management the next time I get to that city with the five stars (thanks to the word filter), when a very unlucky Joanna crossed my way in this forum (sorry, wrong time, wrong place or to be honest wrong mood …). I guess some of you remember that. It doesn’t seem I was able to get my point through at that time. So I’ll try again.
First: I don’t see any need for an onscreen mod in the current situation. There are callers on the phone, trying to direct the models, there are sms-writers trying to direct the models, there is a director doing whatever he does, there are sms moderators, trying to direct the models, and now there even are on screen mods doing something I haven’t understood so far. That’s total direction overkill. Therefore the models seem to have the order to ignore the callers and sms writers wishes and wait for orders from the other directors. Obviously the latter ones are busy doing whatever they do and can’t effort the time for actually doing their job. The results are the shows we are seeing. Most of them are just crap. In my understanding all of that directors and moderators are just unnecessary. Leave the models and the callers/writers alone. The models know very well what they will do and what they won’t do. If there is for whatever reasons any need of a moderator, I would appreciate an active onscreen moderator, but this person has to carry the show, keep it in a nice and steady flow, organise the show parts, so that not every model is doing something in parallel and the camera can concentrate on the action. This person also has to bring in the ideas if the callers/viewers are just a bunch of suckers again … But this also means: get rid of all the others trying to influence the show.
Second: I don’t see that any model has to go, because she is boring or fat or ugly. There are some well known and true phrases: “beauty is in the eye of the beholder” and “every woman is beautiful”. If I’m unable to see this beauty, it doesn’t mean everybody has to be unable to see it, and I’m sure every model has her fans. I don’t see that etv could afford to lose just another model, there are far to few anyway.
Third: Sometimes you make use of some nice electronic effects. Stop it! Or better: learn how to use them. They can be used on very rare occasions to assist a show. In most cases some well chosen light can give much better results. This brings me to the next point:
Fourth: Light. Read all the comments being posted on that topic over the last years. Just that much: Bright colours and movement don’t work together and between over bright and dark are a lot more shades you can use (well, obviously you can’t, rare exceptions don’t deny the rule…).
Fifth: Censorship: Cutting away from some action to some unprepared models sitting around watching the action might be a safe way to avoid showing something you don’t want to show. It definitely is a safe way to get rid of viewers/callers. What do you prefer? An unintentional hot scene from time to time or making the last caller hanging up in frustration?
Sixth: Camera, there are some parts on it were you can press, scroll, turn, … to get a clear and sharp picture. If you want to know which ones: rtfm, it’s your job, not mine. If the camera is broken: throw it away and get another one.
Ok, as you can see I’m starting to get angry again, so I better stop right now.
And just a quick reminder for the local management: If you meet some guy with a diabolic smile and very big boots, it might not be the best idea to turn your back on him … :-)=)

After reading this post: It was the right decision to stop. I was starting to get unfair. The camera folks do their job most of the time pretty well.
 

You are right about many many things. Many things are very disturbing to me. Like one of you guys lately said, I am also one of those who also watch etv in silent mode. If I watch it. After what the shows looked like in 2006 and earlier, this what we see these months, is stupid, boring and with very bad ideas. I must say that Vladi for me looks so damn stupid, like we are some 5 or 6 years old. It is unfair that models also behave in such ignorant manner, but there are still some funny guys, that still fall in that trap. Almost all nice models left these 2 channels, so now in evening shows we see models that 2 years ago hadnt been good enough even for soft morning show. Now we watch girls watching those screens, and laughing seeing those sms, who sometimes look really stupid.

I would like to repeat this last thing you forgot to mention. You said that girls are getting lazy when having too much furniture there. I agree. And one more thing I thing is to be mentioned. I think that shows are much more boring from the moment girls are able to watch those plasma screens, reading these messages. They should remove those, They should STOP reading every nonsense that they receive from guys. Especially from those guys who arent writing to girls, but just searching for fun. And they should stop talking so much, because lately it became a talk show, not erotic show. And one last thing, some girls do not belong there, and people who watch this channel, should I think vote for girls they want to be there. And also for girls that dont belong there. Until we dont give some names, we will watch shows that simply suck. First name on my list is Vladi. He is acting unfair to us viewers and also to girls I believe. For me he sucks the most of all.
