I don't find no more signal of etv and etv2 in my  italian skybox. Why?

Some good news: ETV and ETV2 are again available in the automatic scan (menu-->gestione altri canali-->ricerca automatica).

I'm so afraid.

With MySky is not possible to add any other channel.

Can I send a sms to ETV with the url of this topic? In this way, many users can fix their trouble with ETV signal.

@phlover, can't help you, try with option that allows you to set frequency (step 2).

P.S. I used the same procedure to set Live24 on my SkyBox, it works. THX again.

I had MySky and i don't find the "Tipo Impianto : Motorizzata"

I had only : 1LNB - SMATV IF-IF - SCR.

Any suggestion?

something did change on Hotbird 06.11.07 between 10- 11 CET my receiver lost the complete package ETV2 ETV1 Xplus TV (E+)and INXTC. All were presets on a standard FTA receiver.

if you were receiving at 10853.44 MHz H like my PVR then you wouldn't have noticed any change at all.

Having thought a little about this, Eutelsat has probably cleaned up ETV´s
packet with the demise of the E+ stream.

ETV wasn't in Sky Channels (listed with 3 dgt from 100 to 999) but had to be scanned from "other channels"

Menu->gestione altri canali (other channels manager)->ricerca automatica (automatic scan) and then Organizza altri canali (You can select from found channels 300 to set on your receiver, 4dgt list, from 9600 to 9899), this was the procedure until I think a week ago.

Anyway Ahat looked worried this evening, she said ETV lost many viewers from Italy because of this and (as I already posted) she (with Simone) will contact  ETV management (chiefs in her words) so I think your first reason may be the right one.

I've digested this topic now and I think I can see where you guys are coming from.

Am I correct in thinking that you were previously able to see the ETV channels as part of the SKy EPG (Electronic Guide) ?

The fact is that the frequency of the Hotbird channels have not changed. If they had then most users with a standard receiver would have noticed. Indeed the frequencies mentioned by JohnF are the standard frequencies and the method is the same as for picking up other channels on the satellites that SKY UK use but are not part of the SKY UK EPG.

Channels normally have to pay as small fee to be listed on the EPG. Could well be that ETV, in their post-party hangover, forgot to pay the fee.

Another reason that due to the Italian broadcasting laws where, IIRC, only Sky channels were exempt ie encrypted ones, they had to remove the channels from the EPG.

This evening show Ahat said she (with other mod Simone) will contact ETV management to fix this problem.

Many users seem have this trouble.

Anyway, step by step procedure posted by JohnF works, I myself did it.

We have to follow this until ETV will fix this trouble (and we can find ETV with automatic scan).

All the time I didn't understand why is ETV so soft now I got it, all cable companies like Sky are doing this  !!

The same applies for Hot-Chily as long as it is not bradcated on cable its HOT.

A tip for the italian SkyBox:

MENU --> option 4 (configurazione ricevitore) --> option 5 (impianto) --> option 1 (tipo d'impianto) --> select Tipo impianto MOTORIZZATA --> select OK --> option 2 (frequenze) --> select Satellite Eutelsat --> frequenza 10.853 - symbol rate 27.500 - polarizzazione H - FEC 3/4 --> select Salva la frequenza --> select OK --> select OK one more time --> select OK for the last time --> select ESC --> option 1 (tipo d'impianto) --> setting Tipo impianto comes back 1LNB or 2LNB --> select OK --> select ESC --> select ESC one more time.

Now, ETV and ETV2 are in the final part of the list "Organizza Altri Canali"
