A Year in (Re)view.....

As we approach the end of another year, just a few thoughts on what has happened in the past twelve months.

The year started with a brightly decorated studio as they remembered it was Christmas time. Seems that Christmas was cancelled this time around.

As the year started, the channel (E1) could call on the view of up to four cameras. After all the 3G service was still operational then. Today we are lucky if we get two.

The year started with a fairly static studio. Some furniture and a bed. The furniture may have changed but little else.

What has not changed is the goings, comings and comebacks of models. I gave up a long time ago trying to keep up with all the names. And so did the channel it seems as names are now being re-used.

And as the year comes to a close, we have a new abbreviation to ponder over. Not one of my own this time but the work of my learned friend. TUM - Totally Useless Model. I still try to work out who they are.

But every new abbreviation has it's opposite and this one is no exception. So we also have MUT - Model Undresses Totally. There are not many of these left now which pretty much sums it all up

Re: A Year in (Re)view.....

I didn't left out the Werther, but as I wrote: "wonderful and erotic shows". I liked the Werther show as much as I liked "Dream Screans", but neither was an erotic show. So from the kind of shows one can expect from the channels name, only two out of 1000+ really lived up to that. That's a pretty bad quota and something someone should think about ...

I think it was Mark Anthony who once said "I have come to praise Caesar and not to bury him" before returning to service Kleo(patra)

Only two shows out of the 1000+ in a year ? Surely not. You seem to have forgotten 'Werther's original extra stong mint' that blasted through at the end of March.

But the mark of any writer is when his words are paraphrased later on. So keeping with that spirit, allow me one final piece of poetry this year.

if you must fly
so close to the sky
better to keep it dark
as the sun doth leave a mark
and you may even die

Re: A Year in (Re)view.....

I don't understand why we always have to be so hypercritical. Instead we should use the occasion to thank etv for the thinks they have done right.
As no one of you wants to be the first one, I’ll make the beginning.

First I have to thank etv for some wonderful and erotic shows. I remember both of them very well … (for those that don’t: the first jungle show back in mid February and the second/third (?) Bohemian Night a few weeks ago).

Second I admire your willingness to try something new. We have seen a lot of new shows and new concepts that were introduced (and died on screen) this year. I just want to mention “Dream Screens” which I really appreciated, the “Bohemian Night” which only worked once and revealed how bad the chemistry between the girls really is on the other occasions, Very sad to see for us vintage viewers as we can remember times when there was a cast that would have made this concept fly to the stars. Now it stops and dies close to the sky … I better don’t mention the “SMS wtf are they doing there?” shows. I guess it didn’t pay out to hire that person from the children’s channel …

Third: I’m very eager to see what will happen next year. It’s pretty obvious that there has to change something if this ship should stay afloat. I know you have the guts to try something totally new and I’m very curious to see what you will come up with. I hope that the good ideas will outnumber the wtf ones.

Hopefully at the end of next year the same old critics that followed your efforts with eagle eyes (well, most of the time …) will find much to complain about and maybe even some words of praise. In that sense I hope that 2009 will be a very creative year and good business. Hope to see you around alive and strong at the end of next year.
