One has to be careful when talking about 'Muscle Cars'.
The name has been clearly defined in American automotive history, with the true, classic 'Muscle Car' ceasing production in around 1970 due to high insurance costs and the Clean Air Act coming into force. Although some manufacturers have reintroduced the much loved 'Muscle Car' names, the vehicles are highly refined, emasculated versions of their brutish forbears.
