I do not feel that this remake was so necessary. I saw a short list with some other announced movies and i think that Hollywood is more and more sucks... Here are some titles what i saw so far The Magnificent Seven, remake  Underworld 5, sequel Jumanji, remake Resident Evil 6, sequel Bad Boys 3 and yes also 4  , sequelSpider-Man Film, ??? again The Equalizer 2, sequel Kill Bill 3, sequel . ...maybe the Roadhouse remake with Ronda Rousey  looks a bit interesting for me. The director and also the writer is Nick Cassavetes who directed the John Q ( 2002 ) which is a great movie, imho.It seems in the next few years we will see tons of remakes and sequels  .
