Long before the days we had such family friendly shit such as The Middle and Modern Family we had the original and the best Malcolm In The Middle. First aired on BBC2 in the UK and now being repeated on Comedy Central, this wonderful sitcom revolves around the very dysfunctional day to day lives of the type of family that would be fit for the Jerry Springer show, the characters are so well developed and this comedy pulls no punches in showing just how badly a family can behave. I put this show on a par with South Park although the 4 sons are mildly better people they are still in essence 4 troublesome bastards that only their parents could love. I doubt we'll ever get a show like this again as the PC brigade seems to have moved in these days A typical demonstration as shown in the clip below |

Baywatch
[Versteckter Link - Registrierung notwendig] It used to air on ITV every Saturday at 5.15PM, we used to always plank our arses down in front of the telly and watch it as a family in the 1990's My mother could never understand what all the fuss was about but still she never ever tried to change the channel, I think she secretly liked David Hasselhoff so didn't tend to protest too much, besides we only had 4 channels to choose from BBC1, BBC2, ITV and Channel 4. That was it as my mother absolutely refused to get SKY installed insisting that it would end up with too many fights as it was bad enough with us all fighting over the 4 channels Baywatch however was one of those rare programmes which none of us ever argued over watching, I had many favourites, I could never ever make up my mind who was hotter Pamela Anderson or Yasmin Bleeth - Happy days |

Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrel
This is a pretty good miniseries (7 episodes), based on the fantasy novel of the same name written by Susanna Clarke. |
