Re: mp4 files
Any members who have difficulty with the MP4 videos that are posted here may like to try a free conversion program called SUPER
[Versteckter Link - Registrierung notwendig]
You have all sorts of options available and conversion is quite quick.
Note to MP4 producers : there are some notes here regarding the H.264 codec which may be of interest to you and help those users with lower spec pc's

Re: mp4 files
I can also recommend VLC for playing any kind of vids. It's the best freeware palyer available, and you don't need to poison the crappy Windows system even more by installing codecs.

Re: mp4 files
@Misto
as the creator of such mp4 files
I always use the H264 codec.
The files will all play on a Windows PC using VLC
it is the best freeware player available.
I am aware that Quick Time will also play the files but I can´t recommend
that for Windows.
If you are trying to play the files on a P3 800, they are at full Res too much:-)
If the files run only in slomo, then the processor is too slow.
I have the same problem the other way round playing high bitrate Xvid, DivX on an Apple with G3 processor.

Re: mp4 files
It's probably down to a combination of player and/or codecs installed in your PC.
You can get all the codecs you need (and many that you probably will never use) by downloading the k-lite codec pack from [Versteckter Link - Registrierung notwendig] .
Get the full version.
Once installed, use the media-classic claasic player to open the files.
Another good player is the VLC from [Versteckter Link - Registrierung notwendig]
Both should work just fine.
