Basically 2.02 seems to work fine on my Win7 32bit system,
but somehow the context menu entry "open with VLC" disappeared. Because VLC doesn't work well with videos from my camera I don't want to make it default player for MP4 and with that context menu entry it was a still comfortable way to select VLC to play a video. How to get it back? Regards Joker |

Well, I've had mixed results with this new version of VLC. On my Windows 7 PC, it works great, and is a remarked improvement over the previous versions. However on my Windows XP PC, it doesn't work. As all videos that used to play smoothly, now stutter, or in some cases, play backwards.
So it all depends on what system & upgrades you have. So I would advise you keep a copy of the previous version to rollback to, just in case it doesn't work. |
