Mega - Kim Dotcom's new baby

Now there´s a new webadress [Versteckter Link - Registrierung notwendig] and a countdown that will end on Jan 19th ~19:00 EST
( I read it has to do with the date his house was raided or some servers shut down exactly one year ago)
and some sparse info about the new sevice, so it seems to be serious now.

I hope very much that this will be a good place for us to share our stuff in
a more comfortable way than it was the last year..

their argument is that he just wants to rip off the users.

a hacker group has taken over Dotcom's [Versteckter Link - Registrierung notwendig] and so every visitor was forwarded to the twitter of the hacker group (at the moment me.ga is down) and also Gabon isn't happy about the new occupant.

Maybe, but for me MU was the best hoster and I don´t feel ripped off even though all my files went down.
20th January is the date of his arrest, and if it takes a little longer, so what...as long as his new project will work fine, I´ll be fine.

Kim Dotcom, who is propably not going to be charged for his Megaupload-project due to formal mistakes, has said his new "Mega" will be online
as of 20th January 2013. He is quoted: "I´m ordering server-space, lots of server space."
To prevent any legal problems, the new service will encrypt the content when uploading, so the hoster himself cannot know or check what is

I personally hope the new Mega will work as good as the old one and you will find my files there, I guess.

Thanks eigentor, as most hosts seem to class anything as copyright whether it is or not, it seems a good idea for him to do it that way and takes responsibility away from the host.

My premium with RS will end around july of next year but i have a feeling i will not be using them by then, i just hope its not just hot air he's speaking but time will tell

Thanks eigentor! As Rapidshare closed my account without providing any details about files in breach of their rules (I had more than 100.000 rapids) you can guess that I'm pretty pissed off and might change to Mega as well.
