Stunning Slow-Motion Snake Strike ...

This spine-tingling video shows the moment a ‘defensive’ viper propelled itself at
a photographer with the ferocity of its strike captured in stunning slow-motion.

[Verstecktes Bild - Registrierung notwendig]

The fear-inducing footage shows the vibrant green snake with beady red eyes twisted
around a tree in the forests of Thailand before it launches itself towards the camera – showing off its impressive bite.

[Verstecktes Bild - Registrierung notwendig]

While the video was shot in slow-motion by Ross McGibbon, the deadly speed of the Pope’s Pit Viper
is still apparent as the photographer’s flash goes off long after the snake has retracted.

The viper’s stealth allows it to strike out at its unsuspecting prey, snatching birds straight out of the air and lizards, rodents and frogs off neighbouring trees.
But reptile enthusiast Ross, 32, explained that in this instance the snake was simply lashing out in defense after detecting the heat from the cameras.

She had the doors open during the day to let the breeze in and that's how the big fella
would have got inside. Pretty crazy that this big snake had gone unnoticed for so long."

A homeless cat saved a Veteran from suicide ...

Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder is sadly a common affliction for many soldiers who
have witnessed conflict, an invisible wound that continues to cause incredible
suffering long after the guns have fallen silent.

[Verstecktes Bild - Registrierung notwendig]

“A lot of us come home without realizing we are bringing the war home with us”, says
Josh Marino, a veteran of the Iraq war who suffered the effects of PTSD to such an
extent that it drove him right to the brink of suicide.

[Verstecktes Bild - Registrierung notwendig]

“I didn’t want to deal with it anymore”, Marino said. He wrote up a goodbye note, grabbed
a knife and went outside for a final cigarette in the rain. But then, from the deepest depths
of despair came hope. Meowing out of the bushes next to him came a stray black and
white kitten which, according to Marino, “just walked up and started rubbing up against my
leg and let me pet him. I broke down crying, I burst into tears.”

Woman or machine?

As technology continues to develop, the line between man and machine has become increasingly blurred.
And this stunningly lifelike android woman will have you believing the line has disappeared altogether.

"I'm glad the dog didn't find it alive," Mcosker said.
Skeptics will say this isn't real. But for Mcosker, this is the real deal.
"This is what nightmares are made out of,” he said.

Hilarious moment male fan at Wimbledon asked to wear skirt and play a point ...

It must rank as one of the funniest moments in Wimbledon history when a four-time Grand Slam winner
invited a spectator to join in her match. Kim Clijsters beckoned a fan onto the court during her invitation
doubles match, after he shouted out his suggestion for where she could serve.

[Verstecktes Bild - Registrierung notwendig]

The incident happened at the Ladies' Invitational Doubles Tournament, one of three Invitationals Wimbledon
hosts which serves as an exhibition for fans to see older or retired players. Clijsters was having a bit of fun
in her match when she asked the crowd whether she should place her serve wide or down the middle.
A man in the crowd suggested "body," speaking of a body serve in which a player attempts the serve right
at their opponent in an effort to jam them.

Clijsters laughed in reply, "You said body? Why don't you go there?" inviting him to the court
to the great applause of the crowd. The man didn't back down, borrowing a racquet and taking
to the court, but at that moment Clijsters realised the man's t-shirt and blue shorts weren't up
to the all-white dress code Wimbledon abides by. She ran to her bag, grabbed an extra skirt,
and helped the man squeeze into his new white garb.

A thief thought he had the perfect way to avoid being caught during a burglary - by
disguising himself as a GHOST.

[Verstecktes Bild - Registrierung notwendig]

The crook was caught on camera, wrapped in a white sheet, so he could sneak past CCTV cameras.

[Verstecktes Bild - Registrierung notwendig]

Footage shows the burglar climbing a set of stairs and peering around the corner into
the hall in Jinjiang, Quanzhou City, Fujian Province, south-eastern China. He spots a
CCTV camera mounted on the wall in front of him and quickly ducks back into cover.

[Verstecktes Bild - Registrierung notwendig]

The next moment he disappears back downstairs as he works out how to make it past the camera.

It takes the unnamed burglar around 20 minutes to come up with his master plan. He returns
in what appears to be a ghost costume and can be seen shuffling past the camera like a
ghostly apparition before fleeing the scene.

Police were later called to the scene and discovered he had cut down a curtain to make his ghostly costume.
However they were able to identify the bungling burglar because he had looked clearly at the camera before donning his ghost outfit.

DC Cop Turns VW Camper Van Into Really Trippy Vehicle ...

If you see Jeff Bloch driving by in his camper van, you’re to be forgiven if you think
you’re suddenly on LSD.

[Verstecktes Bild - Registrierung notwendig]

The VW van looks like something straight out of the Summer of Love, but with one
big difference: the van looks like it’s sideways.

[Verstecktes Bild - Registrierung notwendig]

Don’t worry ― Bloch isn’t an exceedingly bad driver, but a very good designer of custom
cars. Bloch recently took a 1976 VW camper van, gutted the interior and stuck the shell
on top of a 1988 VW Rabbit in a way that looks as if the van has been permanently turned on its side.

[Verstecktes Bild - Registrierung notwendig]

“The van is set really close to the ground to complete the visual effect of it being a rolled over
vehicle rather than an actual race car,” Bloch told Barcroft TV.

Despite its awkward appearance, Bloch said his “Trippy Tippy Hippy Van” is able to reach speeds of 100 mph.

Five-year-old girl 'fined' £150 for lemonade stand is inundated with job offers ...

A girl has received outpourings of sympathy after she received a £150 fine from her local council for setting
up a lemonade stand outside a festival.

Andre Spicer’s daughter was selling cups of lemonade at the end of her street in London's Mile End, as
hundreds of people were attending Lovebox festival in nearby Victoria Park. But within 30 minutes of setting up,
four council enforcement officers approached her table and read from a legal letter informing her that, because
the operation did not have a trading permit, it would incur a £150 fine.
