I'm with the 99.9% who have not read your post but did you read the comments of the forum members about the Rep system, too?

you tried to move the Gia discussion to the off topic. if you don't know where to discuss Gia it would be the best to choose the Gia D&C or not to discuss. Smile

Re: Off-Topic Discussion

Although the final target, when a post is written, is not of receiving thank you, we all like, if someone touches the button, like demonstration of that what one has written, is valued.
It is a logical feeling of the human being.

Both of you have almost the same number of thank/like, but, in all fairness, I cannot say whether everybody loves dazaman. Big Grin

If i was looking for love i would be getting ready to go out soon.

See you, dazaman... About something different from the T/L button, hopefully! Big Grin

No problem Hilbert Smile but just one more thing regarding thanks/like as it seems some have missed it [Versteckter Link - Registrierung notwendig]

Note rule 4,

Admin wrote:4. The Moderators can upgrade any member before these figures are met if the member stands out for contributing to content, discussion or thanking/liking. If a member decides to thank/like every post that is on the forum we will consider that abusing the VIP choices so will be ignored if and when they decide to contact us for upgrade to VIP.

So actually through over thanking/liking posts can and will hurt there chances of becoming VIP and for those that over thank/like who are already VIP well to b honest can make them look silly.

But if for thanking/liking gets them more Reps then it really harms no one does it? its a side effect of being thanked/liked by others, which in essence can make people want to post more if thanked/liked.

At the end of the day we have people who do press the button and we have those who will never do so, even if its the best post ever, PS, this is not it Big Grin so those that thank make up for the thousands that don't use the button.

What would you prefer members all with zero thanks or members who do, either way some can pick fault with those that thank/like and those with zero thanks/likes, so a win win situation for those that like to pick fault on everything Smile

All i will say about her is thank you for coming forward and telling people as that takes balls and big ones at that.

If it is this Jessica my kind wishes to you and i hope it turns out the test was wrong and if not this Jessica i sincerely apologies for thinking it might be.

Sorry to bore people with this topic but its great news as the second tests came back negative SmileSmileSmileSmile many thanks to others for letting me know.

I hope Jessica as a great life and continues after i've long gone.

Re: Off-Topic Discussion

Wow!!! Almost a 'Gia' moment in the 'Off-Topic Discussion' ... Smile ... I almost feel proud Blush .

Joking aside, it's good to see some real discussion and airing of views for a change.
My views are well known, so I will say no more on that subject.
Thanks to 'dazaman' for the Official view.

Just one suggestion ... An "Opt Out" button under "My Profile" to remove the ability to give or receive Reputation points ...

Added benefit ... It would put a stop to my silly games Big Grin

Re: Off-Topic Discussion

Hilbert wrote:I'll say few more words about, hoping you don’t get upset, since I have nothing against moderators (how could I? You always allowed me to write what I wanted!), whose work I appreciate, and whose decisions, most of the time, I agree with, but...
- I still haven't got used to see LS moderators going around among the various threads with their retinue, train of "no matter what" supporters, just as, if you’ll excuse my irreverent comparison, sharks and pilot fishes and their mutualist relationship, a "Rep" in exchange for some "T/L"! I think it occurs because, if you read some reasons for reputations, you will find, also, something like this: "You do know how to use the T/L button!".
- Another way to get a reputation? Give fotoman a reputation and he soon, very kindly, will give you a reputation in return.
- I, generally, see that, also for the T/L button, fellows members move around like well-established (and homogeneous) groups, e.g. VIPs tend to, generally, thanks VIPs, only occasionally you see a VIP thanks a N(not)IP, and, still generally, just to feel part of that "exclusive club" NIPs will run in flocks to press the T/L button for a VIP's post (however, as you write, it also depends on the subject or on the model popularity).
I'm not against reputations, I only don't give them much importance, perhaps also because of my, not much and circumscribed, forum activity.

P.S: I do sincerely hope, to avoid misunderstandings, to have clearly and correctly explained what was in my mind.

Yes you've explained fine Thumb up the thanks/like thing as you know as always been something i have tried to get others doing, so if someone has 1,000 given thanks/like does it make me a bad man for giving them as i see it a thanks/like back AKA a rep?

Every member is different (god help us if they was all the same) so as you see it as a VIP select group, i see it as a active group that build this forum, it all depends on which angle you want to view it from. Also the more time you spend on the forum the more you get to know other members, so of course there are friendships happening on the forum and away, private message is also a great tool to get to know other members.

At the end of the day this forum is all about enjoying what you do, wether its video posting, discussion or thanking and repping, in some cases the last is due to lack of English or bad translator, but they still give feedback on the forum.
