I think all or nearly all people in this forum are in better position than the people who risk their lifes for leaving their countries in Africa. time to remember this, to grieve for the dead people but be glad about our own life, too. |

Coast guards were able to save at least 163 people, and the rescue operation is ongoing. The boat is thought to have been carrying up to 500 people. Those aboard include Somalis, Eritreans and Ghanaians, the coast guard said. |

Ray Dolby, the US engineer who founded Dolby Laboratories and pioneered noise reduction in audio recordings, has died in San Francisco aged 80.
Mr Dolby had suffered from Alzheimer's disease for several years and was diagnosed with leukaemia this summer.
