Sad There was 1 woman with them ,that had a parachute drop as a birthday gift Sad

A light aircraft carrying several parachutists crashed near Marchovelette, in the province of Namur, Belgium. This was reported by local media, according to which there would be 11 deaths. Lampedusa, a sad story that probably will never end. Sad

I think all or nearly all people in this forum are in better position than the people who risk their lifes for leaving their countries in Africa.
time to remember this, to grieve for the dead people but be glad about our own life, too.

At least 88 people, including a pregnant woman and two children, died when a boat capsized and caught fire off the island of Lampedusa, the Italian coast guard told CNN on Thursday.
Coast guards were able to save at least 163 people, and the rescue operation is ongoing.
The boat is thought to have been carrying up to 500 people. Those aboard include Somalis, Eritreans and Ghanaians, the coast guard said.

Ray Dolby, the US engineer who founded Dolby Laboratories and pioneered noise reduction in audio recordings, has died in San Francisco aged 80.

Mr Dolby had suffered from Alzheimer's disease for several years and was diagnosed with leukaemia this summer.

His name became synonymous with home sound systems and cinema, and his work won many awards.

Kevin Yeaman, president of Dolby Laboratories, described Ray Dolby as a "true visionary
